In 2012, H&H Funeral Services, LLC was established and was designed to provide the best service to families and at the lowest possible rate to area funeral homes.  From day one, standards were put in place to ensure that no matter who went on a call, it would be done with the same quality that any other employee would provide. We quickly developed a detailed training program modeled off of the way things are done in the military when turning over control to a new incoming unit.  The training, called Left-Seat, Right-Seat, ensured that every new employee was 100 percent comfortable in their role before ever being sent on a call by themselves. On average, even to this day, training a new employee takes well over a month.  That sort of commitment to the employee, and commitment to upholding our standards is why funeral homes began to see the possibilities we could provide.

 

In our first month, we did just 19 calls. Three months later we were doing over 100 calls a month, and within the first year we were doing over 250 calls a month in Northwest Ohio.  Even with the quick growth, we maintained our philosophy of making sure that every single call was done to the absolute best of our abilities. We would rather do 1 call correctly than 1,000 calls incorrectly

 

In 2015 we announced our expansion into the Florida market due to the high volume of requests we had received. In July, we opened H&H Trade Services, a division of H&H Funeral Services, based in Orlando. Our staff quickly became to go-to option in the region for the same things we became known for in Northwest Ohio. Our standards that were set in Toledo were transferred down, and area funeral homes couldn’t believe the quality of service that they were missing out on.

 

In May of 2016 we opened our third location in Dayton, OH after we had proven ourselves capable of being able to uphold the same standard in multiple locations.

 

Our Lima, OH location was opened in July of 2019. 

 

Our biggest expansion to date took place just a few months later in October of 2019, when we opened up our branch in Columbus, OH.

 

We have come a long way from our humble beginnings. Having been open for over 10 years, we have become the most distinguished trade service in Central and Western Ohio, helping over 100 different clients in 32 counties across 3 states on a monthly basis. In 2021, we provided assistance with over 21,000 removals!

 

We strive to represent your name as if it were our own. We dress in professional business attire, and always maintain courteousness and professionalism. We are military owned and are very proud that over 70 percent of our staff is either past or present veterans.  Those veterans are the reason why we always keep flags in our vans, and drape them over any veteran we pick up, regardless of where they are coming from.

 

A lot of funeral homes ask the question “What makes you better at this than our own staff? You aren’t as invested in doing a good job as those of us that work at the funeral home.”  The answer is simple. Because we don’t work for your funeral home, we are always striving to earn your business. Every call we do on your behalf must be done to a higher degree than the one before, or else the funeral home would either call another service, or return to doing their own.  That is the motivation that keeps us doing a phenomenal job every single day.  While Funeral Directors and funeral home staff are expected to fill many roles on any given day, we have just one role, and that is to be experts at removals and transfers.

 

The biggest reason we are able to find the best employees and have them provide the highest quality service is that we do whatever we can to take care of them. All of our employees receive clothing allowances to maintain proper appearance, and are paid at an industry- leading rate. This keeps employees happy, and therefore means that they do the best possible job on every call.  We also are a growing company, and are proud of the fact that all of our managers have started with the company as employees. We offer an environment for growth and encourage leadership, and thus can maintain the best employees.
